The only excimer laser in Queensland with guaranteed Private Health Insurance approval for therapeutic laser procedures.

Our laser is located inside a fully accredited Private Hospital. This means that if you undergo therapeutic laser eye surgery to restore your vision from conditions such as corneal scarring, post corneal transplant, keratoconus & recurrent erosions then your health fund will automatically cover the cost of your surgery if you are covered for these conditions.

Overview of Our Treatments

Irregular Astigmatism

Irregular astigmatism is an astigmatism of the cornea that cannot be corrected by glasses or normal contacts lenses.

Post Corneal Transplant

Patients can sometimes experience reduced vision or a need for complex contact lenses after corneal transplants procedures.

Corneal Scarring

Corneal scarring can be caused by infections, pterygium surgery, trauma, chemical injuries and Salzman’s Nodular Degeneration.

Recurrent Erosion Syndrome

Recurrent erosions of the cornea occur when the superficial layer of the cornea called “epithelium” breaks down.

Corneal Dystrophy

Corneal dystrophies are a group of inherited genetic disorders that cause the cornea to become opaque over time.

Keratoconus & Corneal Cross-linking

Corneal collagen cross linking is a procedure that is used to strengthen corneas that are weak due to keratoconus.

CAIRS EYE SURGERY

CAIRS act to regularize the irregular corneal surface, essentially acting as internal braces to reinforce the thinning, bulging cornea.
